Kade Sonnier traded his baseball cleats for spurs at the Globe Life Field this last Saturday night. The previous college baseball star is coming home $100,000 richer after his 90.5-point ride.

Sarah Angelone added her first American Rodeo title win to her belt. She competed against her sister, Martha Angelone, in the final four, taking home the $100,000 with a lightning 2.16-second run.

Hunter Koch also won his first American Rodeo title this past weekend. Alongside Luke Brown, the duo roped first out in the finals with the quickest time of the night– 4.94 seconds.

Derrick Begay, with his partner Colter Todd, roped for second place in the finals to take home $25,000.

Leighton Berry is a back-to-back bareback champ. The Resistol endorsee won RodeoHouston for the second year in a row. With a 91.5-point ride on Calgary Stampede’s Agent Lynx, he walked away as the bareback champ with over $50,000 in his pocket. This win sets the three-time NFR qualifier up for success to qualify for another year.

Macon Murphy, the Louisiana native, won the Wildcard 1 Round at RodeoHouston with a 9.1-second run, against the toughest of the tough. It was the 2022 NFR qualifier’s first time moving to the Championship Shootout and his third time competing at RodeoHouston.

Ty Harris took home the 2024 RodeoHouston title in tie-down roping after having a rope off with his brother, Joel Harris. The brothers shared the same horse and both roped 8.2-second runs for the $50,000 prize. Ty Harris, ultimately, won the tiebreaker for the coveted title with a 9.6-second run.

Dakota Eldridge holds the RodeoHouston title in steer wrestling for the second time– his first being eight years ago. The 10-time NFR qualifier is currently sitting number one in the PRCA | RAM World Standings for steer wrestling after this win.
